Philip W. Kell
President/Chief Executive Officer

 

   Philip W. Kell assumed the role of President/CEO January 1, 2010. He had served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the California Baptist Foundation since 1997. In this role, he was charged with overseeing all of the Foundation’s operations as well as providing legal counsel on all facets of the Foundation’s work.

   Prior to this position, he served as the Foundation’s Vice President of Trust Administration and General Counsel for two years and Trust Counsel for two years prior to that. Mr. Kell came to the Foundation with 15 years of experience as an attorney in private law practice and 18 years as a bi-vocational minister of music.

   He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Sacramento and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law. Mr. Kell became an ordained minister in 1997. He has served in various roles with the Southern Baptist Convention, California Southern Baptist Convention as well as a member of the California Baptist Foundation Board of Directors.

George C. Jacques
Senior Vice President Trust Services

 

   George C. Jacques is married to Charlene and has two adult children Michael & Cassandra. He received a B.A. in History from California Baptist University in Riverside, CA, an M.A. from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Mill Valley, CA, a Ph.D. in Educational Administration and Supervision from Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma, College of Law in Norman, OK.

   He has served in numerous churches over the years in the areas of music, youth and education and he is a talented musician. He also has served as a missionary in Taiwan under the Southern Baptist International Mission Board. As an attorney, he has worked in the estate planning field for more than twenty years. He has been with the California Baptist Foundation since 2000.

   George is Senior Vice President Trust Services at the California Baptist Foundation where he oversees the trust operations and development departments. He is responsible to the Foundation’s Board of Directors for ensuring the Trust Division is in compliance with all legal and fiduciary issues. He is directly involved with assisting both individuals and churches in developing resources for ministry. In the past fifteen years he has assisted individuals in structuring estate plans which provide for and protect their family at the point of inheritance. George has raised more than $350,000,000 for ministry causes.

Douglas E. Griffin

 

   Prior to serving with California Baptist Foundation, Mr. Griffin was a partner with the law firm of Lang, Richert and Patch in Fresno, California. In 1993, Mr. Griffin began practicing law, with specialty in the areas of estate and business planning and administration and litigation. Prior to 1993, he was a paralegal specialist for the Internal Revenue Service.

   Upon graduating from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Mr. Griffin went on to complete his Masters in Business Administration. He graduated with honors from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1993 and has been practicing law ever since.

   Mr. Griffin is active in his church as well as in the community. His community involvement has included participating in Leadership Fresno serving as chair of the American Cancer Society’s Golf Tournament, a board member of the Clovis Junior Soccer League and various volunteer leadership positions within Clovis Unified School District. He and his wife, Doris, are active members of Clovis Hills Community Church where he currently serves as the Grade School Director in their Children’s Ministry. The Griffins’ are blessed with three children, Joe, Molly, and Paige.
