Philip W. Kell

Philip W. Kell assumed the role of President/CEO January 1, 2010. He had served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the California Baptist Foundation since 1997. In this role, he was charged with overseeing all of the Foundation’s operations as well as providing legal counsel on all facets of the Foundation’s work.  

Prior to this position, he served as the Foundation’s Vice President of Trust Administration and General Counsel for two years and Trust Counsel for two years prior to that. Mr. Kell came to the Foundation with 15 years of experience as an attorney in private law practice and 18 years as a bi-vocational minister of music.  

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Sacramento and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law. Mr. Kell became an ordained minister in 1997. He has served in various roles with the Southern Baptist Convention, California Southern Baptist Convention as well as a member of the California Baptist Foundation Board of Directors.

Dr. George C. Jacques
Vice President of Trust Services

Dr. George C. Jacques joined the California Baptist Foundation in 2000 from Schmitt & Schneck Law Firm. Prior to his time at the law firm, he operated a private estate planning consulting business after seven years of service as the Vice President of the Estate Planning Services Division at the Arizona Baptist Foundation.

 

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from California Baptist College, a Master’s degree from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary, a Ph.D. from Arizona State University and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Oklahoma’s College of Law.

 

Dr. Jacques has served in several churches in the areas of music, youth and Christian education. He also served as a missionary in Taiwan through the International Mission Board.

David H. Park
Vice President/Chief Financial Officer
California Baptist Foundation    

 

David H. Park joined the California Baptist Foundation in 1999. With more than 30 years of private business experience, including service as the Executive Vice President for a corporation with operations in 20 states.

 

Between 1988 and 1994, Mr. Park owned and operated a commercial business with more than 100 employees. From 1994 to 1999, he owned and operated a management consulting company in the Southern California area, servicing clients from Los Angeles to San Diego. He is a graduate of Pepperdine University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management.

 

Prior to joining the Foundation’s executive team, Mr. Park served two terms on the Foundation’s Board of Directors. He has assisted churches in the areas of stewardship administration and personnel procedures as well as serving as a deacon.
